SHO attached to DPL, Ins Mirza takes charge | Mendhar blast accused escape | | Jammu, July 15: Taking cognizance over the recent arrested two accused of Mendhar Blast turned fugitive during stone pelting incident in Kashmir, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch today attached SHO Police Station Gursai (Poonch) to District Police Line (DPL) and ordered posting new SHO. Pertinently, six police personnel including a police officer were injured when their vehicle was attacked by a group of stone pelters in Srinagar a couple of days ago. A Special Investigating Team (SIT), led by a Police Inspector, investigating June 25 blast in Balakote Poonch arrested mastermind Abdul Majeed Ganie of Kupwara from Batmaloo on the disclosures of main accused namely Irfan Ahmad Khan s/o Abdul Qayoom Khan of Dhargloon, Mendhar last week. Police have taken Irfan Ahmad Khan to Kashmir to identify the alleged mastermind who also fled along Ganai during stone pelting. "Police team after securing arrest was on way to Mendhar when they faced stone pelting in valley in which six police personnel got injured while the two accused managed to escape from police custody. SSP PoonchShahsher Hussain when contacted briefly said that the Inspector Sadakat Hussain, has received injuries on his ear during stone pelting and accordingly was attached to DPL Poonch. Meantime Inspector Mausaf Mirza has been posted as SHO Gursai after Sadakat Hussain Qureshi's attachment to District Police Line Poonch. |
