Deputation of Nanak Nagar meets CE PHE, SSP Jammu 7/15/2014 11:57:26 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 15: A deputation of prominent citizens of Nanak Nagar locality, led by Manmohan Singh, Ex-Mayor Jammu and President All India Jat Mahasabha J&K, met with Chief Engineer PHE and SSP Jammu to discuss various issues and problems faced by public of Nanak Nagar and Gandhi Nagar Constituency. While meeting with Cheif Engineer PHE, Choudhary Manmohan Singh expressed serious concerns over the non- functioning of special feeders which have become irrelevant due to illegal and unjustified trappings, and urged the Cheif Engineer to seriously take up the matter with Power Department for regular supply of water in Nanak Nagar and other localities. Choudhary also suggested to arrange special duty on some gensets in these extreme hot days for proper water supply. Later the deputation met with Dr. Manohar Lal Minister of transport and urged him to implement route permits of Nanak Nagar, Preet Nagar and Gangyal routes of matadors, as the common public of these areas are facing numerous problems due to non-cooperation of the usual matadors of these routes. Similarly the problem of congestion on main roads of these localities was also raised. Concerned minister immediately directed the related transport commisioner and traffic authorities for necessary action. At last the deputation Met with newly appointed SSP Uttam Chand and sounded him about the increasing menace of druggist and theifs in the Nanak Nagar area.
