NSF seeks CBI inquiry of all appointments at Central University Jammu

Jammu, July 15: Intensifying its struggle against financial irregularities by university officials and favoritism in Jammu Central University, activists of National Secular Forum held protest demonstration against Chancellor of Central University, against irregularities, favoritism in Central University Jammu and reiterated demand of CBI probe in appointment of tainted' officers. National Secular Forum (NSF) activists led by NSF Jammu Unit Chairman Ajaz Shah today assembled outside gate of Jammu University and lodged protest demonstration amid sloganeering against Vice Chancellor SS Baloria. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Jammu Unit NSF said the varsity has become a rehabilitation center for retired and corrupt officials. "The varsity administration has violated the norms by recruiting the retired teachers and other staff members. As per the Central University Statutes, the serving officials should not be above 65 years but the administration has recruited some teachers who are above 65years," he said.
Shah and others speakers alleged that the CUJ administration was ignoring the youth of Jammu region in jobs and jobs are being awarded to non-Jammuties thereby the CUJ, V-C was playing with the emotions and sentiments of Jammu ties. NSF members said that NSF will continue its struggle for the social cause and appealed the people of the state to come forward and exposed the corrupt person in CUJ. They appealed HRD Minister to intervene in the matter and initiate a CBI probe, to unearth the biggest illegal recruitment racket in CUJ.
