JAMMU, July 15 : State high court today quashed selection list of constables in photography which was advertised by the PHQ on March 1, 2011 and whose selection list was issued on April 11, 2012 This direction was passed by High Court in a bunch of petitions filed by aggrieved candidates who did not find place in the select of list of constable in photography Cadre. Justice Hasnain Masoodi after hearing battery of lawyers quashed the select list recommended by Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID, Kashmir (Chairman, Selection Board) vide No.DIG/CID(K)/2012/85 dated 14th January 2012 vide order no.1344 of 2012 dated April 11, 2012. High Court also directed respondents to reframe select list at state level on the basis of merit secured by candidates at State level, who participated in selection process having due regard to J&K Reservation Act, 2004, and J&K Reservation Rules, 2005, and thereafter consider candidates for appointment in order of merit against 82 posts of Constable in Photography Cadre. However, selection of such of private respondents, who find place in reframed select list and having regard to their place in the merit list and number of vacancies to be filled up, make grade for their appointment, shall remain intact and undisturbed. The exercise is completed as far as possible within four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment. JNF |
