Bovine smugglers held, 11 bovines rescued

Jammu, July 15: Continuing drive against bovine smuggling in District Doda, Police arrested three persons and rescued 11 bovines from their possession which were being illegally transported without specific documentations for inter district transportation of milch animals.
The accused have been identified namely as Gh Hussain s/o Ab Hamid Batt; Jaan Mohd s/o Mohd Ashraf and Asgar Ali s/o Ab Hamid all resident of Labbar Marmat of District Doda
"On specific input, Police Party of Police Post Goha Marmat intercepted three persons at Gular Nallah Muthi Marmat alongwith some animals, police said while adding, "the persons failed to produce specific documents for the transportation of animals.'
Police said that police team arrested the accused on the spots and rescued eleven (11) bovines from their possession.
"In this regard, case FIR No. 133/2014 u/s 188 RPC 3 PC Act stands register against the accused persons in Police Station Doda, police added.
