Dental Surgeons' dharna enters day 15 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 15: In support of their demand of government jobs, Dental Surgeons Association Jammu Kashmir continued their Dharna for 15th consecutive day and Chain Hunger Strike of Female Dental Surgeons at Amphalla Chowk, Jammu. The Chairman of the association Dr. Pawan Singh Jasrotia said that it is ironical on the part of Government that the skilled professionals, so called creamy layer of society, is on roads for the last 15 days with even female Doctors forced to sit on Hunger Strike but still no one from the Govt. side has bothered to issue any positive statement or approach us to acknowledge our genuine demands. The Chairman also said that thanks to the ill minded policy makers of the State that the Dental profession is at the verge of extinction in State with neither any sufficient scope of higher education after pursuing BDS nor any employment opportunities available in Govt. as well as private sector. Continuing the female chain hunger strike today Dr. Kritika Rajput, has put her life at risk in such drastic weather conditions. He also said that this agitation is not going to stop till our demands are met and warned that this agitation can take more harsh nature and the Govt. will be responsible for any uneventful happening. |
