| NIOS honours learners with first, second, third positions | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 17: On the eve of 68th Independence Day, the Regional Centre Chandigarh organized a function to honor the learners who obtained 1st 2nd and 3rd position in NIOS, Oct-2013 & April 2014 Examinations. The RC Chandigarh has its jurisdiction Punjab , Haryana , J&K, Chandigarh & Himachal Pradesh .
The 13th learners were awarded with certificate and a silver coin. Dr. T.N. Giri congratulated the learners, staff and adiouns for this day .He told that Independence has great importance for all of us because it is obtained after giving sacrifices. We should read the autobiography of political & religious organizations, social workers and specially the women, for preparing their fathers, brothers, sons for sacrifices. Dr. Vibha Ray Principal DAV Sec-8 (Lahore) Chandigarh and Gurdeep Singh JEE, Special Secretary Education Government of Punjab also addressed the learners and staff. The award were given away to NIOS toppers by Gurdeep Singh. He congratulated the award winners. |
