| Patwari suspended for fake registration, forged signature | | |

Mendhar, Aug 17:For alleged fake registration of land records with forged signatures of the Naib Tehsildar, a Patwari has been suspended by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Poonch. The said Patwari Mohd Aziz who is deployed at Gohlad having additional charge of Dharma and discharging his duties at present at Salwah Mendhar had registered a 10 Marla land belonging to Shahid Ahmed, resident of Sakhi Maidan on the name of one Romesh Kumar with forged signature of Naib Tehsildar concerned. On a complaint, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Poonch Shafeeq Ahmed has ordered a thorough probe into the case with examination of land records wherein the Patwari was found at guilty and put allegedly under the scanner. Following this, the said Patwari was suspended for the forgery. Sources said that names of more revenue officials are expected in the case.
