JKTF holds meeting in Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Aug 17: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) today held a meeting at Kathua under the chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur to discuss the academic and other problems of the teachers. The speakers said that Zonal level academic committees must be constituted under the DIETs to monitor the schools all over the state and a complex should be authorized to check the students at primary and upper primary level to improve the quality of education, constitution of transfer committees at Zonal district and provincial level for rational and transparent transfer of teachers, masters and officers respectively. Thakur also cautioned H R Pakhroo, Director School Education Jammu to be aware of corrupt elements and touts who are exploiting the teachers and lecturers on the name of transfers. He thanked Secretary School Education to keep the transfers list of all officers and officials in abeyance, transfers of whom were done on 14-07-2014 by outgoing Director School Education Jammu. He said that lakhs of rupees were collected on the name of transfers. He demanded a high level probe to identify and punish such elements. |
