Burglars decamp with gold, cash from car | Marriage party turns into nightmare | | Mohd Irfan
Jammu, Oct 15: Close on the heels of the incident wherein Window panes of the parked cars were smashed by the burglars and music systems and spare tires were stolen, burglars struck again at the busy Samadhian road the previous day in similar incident when using the same modus operandi, they smashed the rear glass of the car and decamped with valuables lying inside while the owner of the car was attending a marriage party in the near by banquet hall. Narrating the incident, owner of the vehicle Mohd Amin said, "our car bearing registration no. JKO2W 1386 was parked on the road along with many other vehicles as we were in marriage hall. We were told by a another guest that the rear window pane of our car was smashed and on rushing to the car, we found that all our valuables including purse of my wife carrying cash and jewelry and mobile phone were stolen". " Window pane of another vehicle bearing registration number JK14 7138 which was also smashed, but the burglars could not get anything from it" he added. Meanwhile, in a similar incident on 29th September burglars smashed the window pane of a car bearing no.JKO2AS 6545 that was parked outside a prominent hotel at Bari Brahamana, and decamped with 4 ATMs cards, cash and other valuable items. The series of similar incidents using a familiar trend are indicating involvement of same group of burglars. Meanwhile, Talking to Early Times, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand said "FIR is registered in this connection and investigation is going on. He however urged that vehicle owners should not park their vehicles at secluded places. |
