POONCH, Oct 15: The house of a BJP leader was last night stoned by some unknown persons in the border Balakote village here. Quoting BJP leader Zulfikar Khan, police said 20 to 30 persons gathered outside his house at about 10.20 pm last night and pelted stones. They also abused him.
After the matter came to their notice, army and Balakote police post incharge rushed to the spot. Army also pressed into service its sniffer dogs but the accused could not be held, police said.
Police had registered a case in this connection. Mendhar SDM Romesh Kumar too has directed police to probe into the matter. |
