The restore of the lot including the BJP want elections on time. The Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, has also not fully accepted Omar Abdullah's demand for postponing the elections to ensure speedy rehabilitation of the flood victims. However, Abdullah continues to, seek postponement. Political parties want timely elections because they believe the people will reflect their anger against NC and Congress through the electronic voting machines (EVMs). The Congress on the other hand may gain by timely elections.
