JAMMU, Oct 15: On account of World White Cane Day (guiding the blind), the Sprawling Buds School, Chinore in Bantalab took their students to Blind School for girls at Roopnagar, here today. Young female students of Sprawling Buds mingled with their counterparts from the blind school and shared each others experiences. During their stay at the institution, students entertained the handicap girls presenting a melodious musical programme. To show their solidarity with the blind girls, the visiting students, as also their teachers, held interactive session to discuss about daily routines and interests. Students also presented gifts to the girls. "The outing was conducted to help students understand the realities of living without sight and also to understand the feelings of those, who cannot see. Students were also provided with an opportunity to admire the ability of people with impaired vision to lead independent lives by using white canes," said one of the accompanying teacher. |
