Jammu, Oct 15: The 38th Annual Athletic Meet of Sainik School Nagrota commenced today at the school Mini Stadium. An impressive March Past was carried out by the four Houses namely Chenab, Jhelum, Sindh and Trikuta led by the Cadet Uday Kiran Jamwal. Soon after the lighting of the Athletic torch, Cadet Kumar Saurav administered oath to the participants. The Athletic Meet was formally declared 'open' by Colonel Kapil Dev Koushal Principal of the school said that it will be held for the next three days. In this Annual Sports Meet, top athletics like Cadet Kumar Saurav, Cadet Jyoti Prakash and Cadet Rahul Kumar will be sweating out to clinch gold medals in various track and field events. The major highlights of the inaugural day's events included 200 m, 400 m and 300 m run, Shot-put and Discuss Throw. |
