SIDCO management of Gangyal criticized for its alleged 'pick and choose' policy | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: National Secular Forum (NSF) today criticized State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO) Managing Director (MD) RL Tickoo for adopting pick and choose policy in giving benefits of various government schemes, benefiting only big industrial units and ignoring the small units, pushing them towards closure. Addressing media persons National Secular Forum president Sukhdev Singh said that the main objective of government was to promote and develop small scale industries across the state but it was totally become a flawed policy for the last two years, since RL Tickoo took the reins as Managing Director. "It is very surprising that on one hand government want to establish such units but others Managing Director of SIDCO Gangyal, have doing job only for big industries and ignore small units", Singh said and adding if government had benefited only big units then why they have given permission for establishment of such units. NSF leaders appealed Chief Minister of state Omar Abdullah and Minister for Industries to look into the matter and take action against MD SIDCO. Among others present in the press-conference include Ajaz Shah Narinder Singh, Amit Sanotra, and Varun Kumar. |
