IED call turns hoax

Rajouri, Oct 15 : An information about the presence of an IED near Khandli bridge in the vicinity of Rajouri city turned to be hoax as the police and other agencies didn't find any material during search.
Reliable sources said that the senior police officer reportedly has issued direction to nab the rumor mongers.
Pertinent to mention that for the last few days hoax informations including crash of army helicopter, movement of anti-social elements, killing of army jawans in LoC firing etc are floating in the air that has created tension among the inhabitants.
At about 1.45 pm information was spread that IED has been planted near Khandli bridge on Rajouri-Kalakot road. Immediately after the information police teams lead by Dy SP, HQs and Dy SP operations rushed to the spot and cordoned the area.
The whole area was searched by the sleuths of police intelligence agencies and other but no explosive material has been recovered. Mubassar Latifi, SSP said that police officers have been directed to trace the rumor mongers and put them behind the bars.
