Jammu, Oct 15: Amidst chaos and devastation caused by nature's fury in the state of J&K, the Income Tax Department at Jammu today got the whiff of a good news that the upcoming income tax Colony at Resham Ghar shall be handed over to the Department in the coming December. This assurance was given by Mohammad Rafique, the AGM of NBCC Ltd., the contracting agency which is engaged in the construction of income tax colony at Resham Ghar to the Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, Jammu AK Thatai when the latter visited the construction site today alongwith other team members from the Income Tax Department, Jammu. It may be mentioned here that the upcoming income tax colony is being termed by many here as the "dream project" of the Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K who has been taking keen interest towards the development of this project since his posting here in early 2012. The colony would provide ultra modern houses with all facilities to the officers who come on posting of the Department here at Jammu and would alleviate the big and serious issue of housing from amongst the departmental officers who normally find it difficult to get a good dwelling unit within their house rent entitlement. "This would definitely enhance their work efficiency", the CIT said here today. Those who accompanied the CIT were Rohit Mehra, the JCIT and Mini Chandran U., the DCIT (HQ) alongwith Jasbir Singh, Deepak Sharma and Lucky Sharma. |
