Five companies in fray for joint venture for Sapphire mines' extraction

Jammu, Nov 18: Jammu and Kashmir Minerals Limited Managing Director Abid Suhail has said that for making a joint venture with JKML, five companies have been shortlisted and no company has been awarded the contract for extraction of Sapphire mines.
He further said that JV Structuring option report was still under examination of sub-committee for making appropriate recommendation to the Board to facilitate formulation RFP.
To ensure healthy competition among tenderers, the corporation has permitted all the parties to visit/survey the mine area for having better understanding of all relevant features of the terrain to enable them to firm up /finalize their opinion in submitting their final bid.
