| NC’s mutual mudslinging eroding party’s credibility in Kupwara | | | Early Times Report
KUPWARA, Nov 18: National conference candidates from Kupwara are at war against each other embarrassing the party which is already low in enthusiasm in the ensuing assembly polls. Kupwara district of north Kashmir is scheduled to go for polls on Dec 02. Early Times have learnt from local people of Kupwara district that, the assembly elections are going to be tough for the National conference in Kupwara district .
“It is not good to blame each other, they (NC party workers ) should have stood up and fought against the problems of locals in the area. This will have a negative impact on voters” said locals.
Another local resident of Chotipora Handwara said that party candidates are blaming each and destroying the credibility of National conference in north Kashmir which will have a negative consequence on the party itself, Though senior leader of National conference Mir Saifullah had won the assembly elections of 2008 with 16696 votes, whereas PDP candidate Fayaz Ahmad Mir was runner up with 11514 votes, local resident of Handwara said.
A senior citizen from Langate assembly constituency Mohammad yousuf opined that, it seems that assembly elections of 2014 would be completely different, especially in Kupwara district as people are well aware of the plans and policies of these politicians who blame each other.
NC candidate for Langate Constituency had admitted on Tuesday that his party had lost trust of people in North Kashmir especially in Langate Constituency as former Parliament Member Sharifuddin Sharik ignored it and did nothing for the people.
Sources said that he is blaming his own party leader for “destroying the credibility” of National Conference in North Kashmir, A retired BDO, Wali Muhammad, NC party candidate for Langat assembly constituency has not only blamed Sharif-Ud Din Sharik but has accused his rival candidate Er Rashid of amassing huge wealth, sources added.
“I directly held Sharifuddin Sharik responsible for the downfall of National Conference in North Kashmir especially in Langate Constituency. During his stint as MP, Sharik did nothing for the people especially for National Conference workers,” NC candidate for Langate Constituency.
Wali Muhammad has said adding the majority of NC loyalists have left the party, sources said. |
