Cong leaders fall for women, malign party | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 18: Even as the Congress leadership strives hard to stage a come back in Jammu Kashmir, some leaders indulge in activities that malign the party. The recent phone recording of a senior Congress leader which nowadays is doing rounds on all social networking sites in Jammu and Kashmir has caused dejection to one and all, as the language used by Abdul Gani Vakil, during his conversation with the female has incited a sense of agony among the masses. "Don't they feel ashamed of their misdeeds, 'what a hypocrisy' on the one hand the so-called leaders are shouting loud slogans of peace and development in the state while on the other they are found involved in sex rackets," Aisha Begum, a retired Government official said while lambasting the political parties for beseeching public support in the upcoming elections. She termed National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Congress and Bhartiya Janata Party as collection of crooks. Pertinent to mention here that the valley last year witnessed widespread protests and massive political storm after a senior Congress leaders and sitting MLA attempted to molest a senior medico at his office chambers in Civil Secretariat here. No doubt Shabeer Ahmad Khan, a senior Congress leader from Rajouri, resigned from the Jammu and Kashmir Council of Minister however the crooked leader is still roaming off the hook leaving everyone befuddled. Interestingly, a Congress backed bureaucrat again this year attempted to molest a Nurse in his office chambers however Government appointed commission while exonerating the Director Health Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, of sexual molestation charge recommended stern action against the nurse. Senior Congress leader and Irrigation Minister, Taj Mohi-ud-Din who was then Minister for health and medical education exonerated Dr Rehman from the charges leveled by the complainant. "The probe committee has gone through all the evidences available and has given a patient hearing to the complainant also to prove her point," Taj said adding that the CCTV footage has also been examined by the probe panel which has resulted into exoneration of Dr Rehma "Nepotism and corruption had already marred this economically feeble state now the gruesome acts of the political leaders have shattered the entire humanity," Fouziya Khan, a B.Tech student lamented. She said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are treated as dumb driven cattle's by the politicians for their patty personal gains. |
