According to the Intelligence sources, two Pakistan Rangers were seen sharing the details of border fencing and activities being taken place on Indian Territory opposite Bobiyan area of Kathua district. "There were two Pakistan Rangers, who were carrying binoculars, who were seen near a Pak post on their side around 11 am. They were seen briefing a civilian while pointing towards Indian side. Their conversation that started around 10.55 am lasted till 11.15 am," sources said. Sources said the agency immediately shared the input with concerned quarters. "The input has put the security agencies on alert as the Jammu-Pathankot highway has always remained vulnerable to terror strikes in the recent past," sources said. They said security agencies were in no mood to remain complacent on any sort to terror input as the possibility of civilian being a terrorist or a guide of terrorists could not be ruled out. It may be placed here that the terrorists had struck Hiranagar and after covering a long distance on highway reached Samba on September 26 last year, targeting an army camp there and killing atleast 10 people including an army Lt Colonel. |
