Jammu, Nov 18: On the direction of the Worthy Chief Medical Officer Rajouri Dr Rajeev Sharma , BMO Darhal Dr Iqbal Malik organized a awareness programme on SVEEP at SDH Darhal. BMO sensitized the ASHAs about various activities of SVEEP and asked to start the awareness drive in their respective villages so that the message of " Right To Vote " as well as " Right Of Franchise" reaches to every household of the society He asked all the employees to work with great zeal and dedication for maximum participation in assembly election 2014 to enhance the voting percentage On the same day, they also celebrated" world epilepsy day" and organized a function for the awareness of epilepsy disease BMO said that this disease faces serious social stigmas, common superstition, evil spirits and moreover epilepsy is a hidden disorder, people do not reveal that have disorder Epilepsy treatment is long term and can take around two years time. "Once patients are seizure free for a few days, they stop medication until they suffer another one., compliance to medications therefore is very poor with only half adhere to the regimen " He added Prominent citizens, PRI, NGO,ASHAs ,were also present on this occasion, On the said topic Dr Bilal Matto Medical Officer SDH Darhal also spoke and delivered vote of thanks. |
