VCE oganises 'Shiv-Vivah' | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 16: Vivekananda College of Education today organized 'Shiv-Vivah' ahead of 'Shivratri festival' in its campus today. According to press release, a large number of devotees participated including students of B.Ed, faculty members and parents of the students. It is Famous religious saying that whosoever hears 'Shiv-Vivah Katha' in the month of Falgun, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati fulfills all his/her wishes. Katha started with Aarti of Lord Ganesha "Jai Ganesh Deva" and then with the Aarti of Lord Shiva " Om Shiv Omkara" performed by Vivekananda Family and Group of Jangams who were invited to perform the Katha. Jangam narrated the whole story related to Shiv-Parvati's marriage along with traditional Bhajans. Various popular scenes were also created by them in which students acted whole-heartedly with great devotion. All devotees supported them by singing songs and hearing Katha with religious fervor, gaiety and devotion. Whole campus was filled with Jai-Jaikaras of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati as both of them guide mankind towards truth and righteousness and Shiv-Pooja serves as a beacon-light for humanity forever. Katha ended with famous Aarti 'Hari Om Namah Shivay'. Parsad was distributed to all present on the occasion. At the conclusion of 'Shiv-Vivah' collective prayer for global peace & welfare of humanity was observed by all. |
