Maha Shivratri Shobha Yatra taken out with religious fervour, gaiety

Jammu, Feb 16: An impressive Shoba Yatra on the eve of Maha Shivratri was taken out today in Jammu city amid unprecedented security arrangements, with religious fervour and gaiety.
The religious procession, which commenced from the Ranbireshwar temple, near Parade Ground, passed through various bazars of the city, including Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, Purani Mandi and Panjtirthi.
M.L.A. Jammu East Rajesh Gupta was Chief Guest on the occasion who performed the puja of Chariot in the Ranbireshwar Temple and prayed to the god for the peace and prosperity of the country.
Bar Association Jammu President M.K. Bhardwaj and National Mazdoor Conference President Subhash Shastri was Guest of Honour.
Shobha Yatra started with a Chariot of Lord Shiva which was the main attraction of the Shobha Yatra. Students of Birpur Sanskrit Vidhayala and Sanatan Dharam School also took part in this Shobha Yatra.
In the Shobha Yatra Religious tableaus of Lord Shiva of different religious , social organizations viz. Bawe Wala Mandir Bahu Fort , Hudh Mata Trishandhya Committee , Ram Mandir Purani Mandi , Laxmi Narayan temple Gandhi Nagar, Jamwant Ghufa ( Peer Kho ) , Jammu Province Newspaper Vendor Association , Bajrangi Akharha Shalamar Road , Dewan Mandir Natak Samaj Mandli took part depicting life of Lord Shiva attracted the people. Total 14 Jkankies took part in this Shobha Yatra.
Bhoot Mandli, Lord Hanuman, Narad Muni and Shiv Tandaav by the artists of Delhi also attracted the people.
During the Shobha Yatra Jammuities entralls on the religiuos tunes of Dogra Band and the whole city gives a festive look.
Various traders organizations of old city and other organizations has organized Bhandaras (Langars) at various places for the devotees.
President Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust Maj Gen (Retd.) R. S. Jamwal, Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust Shashi Khajuria along with staff members took part in Shobha Yatra and extends MahaShivratri wishes to Jammuities.
All the members of SRMWC Onkar Sharma ( Nandi Ji), (President), Rajkumar Gupta ( Secretary), Amit Gupta ( Secretary ), Mandeep Sharma, Deepak Sharma ( Press and Publicity Incharge), Dr. Sunny Gupta ( Gen. Sectt.), Rekha Sharma (President women Wing), Dolly Abrol ( Gen. Sectt. Women Wing), Surinder Bhagat and others took part in this Shiv Barat and extends Shivratri greetings to the locals.
All the departments of Distt. administration Jammu viz. PDD , PHE , JMC, Police, Traffic Police, C.I.D, Health made elaborate arrangements for the success of Shobha Yatra.
