Some police officers of Jammu and Kashmir police are likely to face the music for their involvement in adopting delay tactics in co-operating the Mumbai police and also for "shielding" the boy. A police officer, who has now promoted to the rank of Inspector General these days, had adopted all illegal means to save the boy from questioning.
In month of February 2006, the Mumbai Police had taken the statement of her boyfriend and TV actor Bhanu Uday. A TV actor and model, 29-year-old Randhawa had committed suicide at her Juhu flat by hanging herself with a dupatta from the ceiling fan in the month of February 2006 .

The two had appeared together in the tele-serial 'Special Squad' for more than a year. Sources said Uday was asked why he failed to turn up after Randhawa's death. After Randhawa committed suicide, Udhay Bhanu fled away to Jammu.
While some people in the television industry blame it on the "minor scuffle" between Randhawa and her boyfriend Bhanu Uday Pratap Singh, a close friend said that the actor had tried to end her life on earlier occasions too.
