DIC organises symposium on Beti Bachao 2/16/2015 11:09:02 PM Early Times Report samba, Feb 16: District Information Centre (DIC), Samba today organized a Debate Competition on the topic "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao " here at National High School Samba. The aim for organising such debate is to sanitize the masses about gender imbalance and discrimination against the girl child. Sarpanch, Varinder Singh Sambyal was the chief guest on the occasion. Various students participated in the debate competition. Swati Sambyal of class 9th was adjudged as best speaker, while Deepak Kumar of 8th, Ridhima, of 10th got 2nd and 3rd position respectively, besides Anjali Sharma, Harsh, Arushi and Shaweta were also given consolation prizes. Prizes were given to winning students by the Information Department, Samba.
