Pensioners, senior citizens hold protest 2/16/2015 11:13:56 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 16: Pensioners and senior citizens today held a protest against the government for its failure to provide DA to the state pensioners and employees @ 10% with effect from 01-01-2014 and 7% with effect from July 2014 @7%. The protest was led by Raj Kumar Basnathia. Madan Lal Abrol General Secretary of the State Pensioners Association strongly condemned the government for not providing the DA and medical allowance and Quantum pension to the Senior Pensioners at the age of 80,85,90,95 and above 100 like centre pattern but government has not touched the file of that case @ 20%,30%,40% and 100% . The association appealed the Governor N. N. Vohra to release the DA @ 17% immediately.
