JAMMU, Jan 29: State basketball team shall be leaving tomorrow for the upcoming 42nd Sub Junior National Basketball Championship scheduled to be held at Puducherry from February two to February eight.
Earlier, the selected team underwent a screening test conducted by the State Sports Council that included Rashid Ahmad, Krupali Patel and Joint Secretary, Shiv Sharma. Earlier, a brief 10-day coaching camp was conducted at Mini Stadium Parade for around 35 young cagers from of Jammu and Srinagar.
The team was announced by the secretary, J&K Basketball Association, Dr Vikram Handa in the presence of SAI coaches, Amarjit Singh and Aman Sharma.
The team includes Devyanshu Pandey (captain), Adarsh Yadav, Prashant Singh, Rakshit Sharma, Rajat Bhardwaj, Amarpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh, Ashish Kumar, Raghav Pratap Singh, Shubham Choudhary, Imaad Din Shah and Ahmad Assin Lone. Sumit Dogra, assistant coach of the J&K Police central team shall accompany the team as coach, a handout issued here today informed. |
