Harish Chander Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 29: A Sub-Inspector (SI), who in police circles is known as the 'blue-eyed" of a senior retired officer, is now-a-days using all his resources to become SHO of any police station in the capital city here. The retired officer is also making all out efforts to make sure that the wish of the SI, who was at present posted in a rural area of Jammu, was fulfilled, according to police sources. He had spoken to senior police officers, requesting them to post the SI as SHO of any of the city police stations as and when transfers were ordered at the police station level, sources informed. Sources said before his retirement some time back, the senior officer, who was also his relative, had himself posted the SI as SHO of different police stations in Jammu. Even as he was no more in service now, he was using his contacts in police department for the SI's posting as SHO in any of the police stations in the city, the sources added. He has also served as the incharge of a police post here. Sources, however, said senior police officers were not in favour of posting him as the SHO of any city police station. They felt that it would be improper to post him as the head of a police station in the city, ignoring his seniors, the sources added. |
