Jammu, Jan 29: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Samote under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Counter Insurgency Uniform Force Headquarters, Reasi, distributed furniture to Government Girls Middle School, Kandi.
With an endeavor to provide impetus to education in remote areas of the Pir Panjal ranges, the Sadbhavna project will benefit more than 90 girl students from five villages who are imparted education in the school. In a simple ceremony, attended by the teachers, students, parents and officials from the civil administration, the furniture items were handed over to the school administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Azam, Headmaster of Government Girls Middle School, Kandi, said that the noble deed by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion will go a long way towards improving elementary education of children in remote areas.
