Kidnapped minor girl rescued, Naib Sarpanch among four held | | | Early Times Report jammu, Jan 29: Police claimed to have rescued one minor girl (16) who was kidnapped outside her residence on the other day with the arrest of four abductors including a Naib Sarpanch here today during a raid conducted in Janipur area here, police said. According to police, the teenager hailing from Kotli Shah Dullaha area in RS Pura was abducted in a vehicle by four persons, including the Naib Sarpanch Jagdish Raj and a woman identified as Raj Kumari some days ago when she was walking near her residence. Family members of the girl have reported the matter to police, accordingly a case also was registered and investigations were started to trace the abducted girl. "Acting on specific information, the police team from RS Pura conducted a raid in Janipur area of Jammu on late Thursday evening and rescued the kidnapped girl from the clutches of her abductors and also arrested four abductors," police said. "Besides arrest of accused police also have seized the vehicle used to abduct the girl, the police said. Police said, "besides the arrest of the Naib Sarpanch Jagdish Raj and Raj Kumari, the other two accused have been identified as Payara Lal and Shabir Ahmed." |
