JAMMU, Jan 30: Thieves broke into a house in Purkhoo in city outskirts and decamped with gold ornaments, cash and other items late last night. Police have registered a case and started investigations in this regard.
According to police sources, complainant Chanchalla Dewi ,widow of Tej Ram of Purkhoo the upcountry locality reported the matter of theft at her house and stated that thieves decamped with gold ornaments, cash and other items when she along with her family had gone to attend the marriage ceremony.
Quoting complainant, Police sources said that the thieves broke open the almirahs in the house and decamped with valuable items including gold jewelery and cash.
Police have registered a case and have started investigating in this regard. However no arrests have been made so far till last reports came in. |
