JAMMU, Jan 30: Some middle-rung and other senior police officers have changed their strategy in the Governor Rule to get choice postings. Since there are no ministers at present in J&K in view of the Governor’s Rule, these officers have started taking rounds of the offices and residences of their 'bosses' to keep them in good humour.
Earlier, they paid visits to the residences of ministers, but they could now be spotted either in the offices or at the residences of their bosses so that they could utilise their services at the right time for choice postings.
There was a tussle among them to occupy the offices of IGP, traffic, DIG, crime, SSP, Jammu, and SSP, Reasi. Apart from them, two to three posts of DIGs' were also lying vacant.
Since this lot of officers could not get choice postings during the BJP-PDP government, they were now using all their resources to get better postings in the Governor Rule, police sources said. |
