Today's meeting will reveal Mehbooba's views on BJP 1/31/2016 12:21:33 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 30: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti is unlikely to take a decision on the government formation in the scheduled meeting of the party legislators and leaders in Srinagar on Sunday. According to sources, Mehbooba will just get a feedback from the party members about their experience with the BJP and also how the 'Agenda of Alliance' has worked out till now. She will also direct the party leaders to get more active on the ground and get more members in the drive. It will be the first meeting with the party leaders by Mehbooba Mufti after the death of her father Mufti Sayeed. She had till now not interacted with them and had also not spoken any thing on the issue of the government formation or given them any sense. The leaders feel though the meeting will give a sense of how Mehbooba is approaching the BJP or if she is interested in the alliance at all or not. "Even if she doesn't say anything on the governance we can get a hint of her approach and will able to reflect if she is intersted in the alliance or not," said a senior PDP leader . The PDP leaders, including some seniors, have no clue about what is in the mind of Mehbooba Mufti as she has not talked to anyone in the party or held consultations with them. "Unlike Mufti Sayeed who would hold consultations with every leader and take them into confidence, Mehbooba is not doing so and we don't have any hint what is in her mind; the meeting will though give us some peek into it," said the leader. The meeting assumes significance because the core base of the party is in the Kashmir valley and here it is being targeted by National Conference and also to an extent by the Congress for having had an alliance with the BJP, and on Sunday the leaders will review how much it has affected the party in Kashmir.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
