RSS lobby averse to trimming role of Ram Madhav in J&K political affairs | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 30: Even as complete lull continues to persist on the political waters of J&K with no movement forward in government formation from PDP side, party President Mehbooba Mufti is said to be in direct contact with the top leadership of BJP in New Delhi with whom she has been holding negotiations herself for the last over two weeks. As PDP had sought senior BJP leader Ram Madhav to be out of the picture in case there is any progress in the government formation, RSS lobby at top level is learnt to have declined this move indicating there will be no change from BJP side on the political affairs and matters vital to alliance between the two parties. Sources said there may be stalemate with respect to formation of the government as of now, but PDP President has not blocked communication channels with BJP. Instead of giving this responsibility to any of the party leaders, she is herself in constant touch with the central leadership of BJP including party's national president Amit Shah and a couple of more senior leaders with whom she is compatible in communicating. However, she is learnt to have conveyed she is not in hurrying into any taking any decision and she would like to take some more time on that. However, Ram Madhav who was the man instrumental at the time of government formation last year and on the fore front of all vital political matters and issues in drafting Agenda of Alliance document, is this time not active at any level, sources said adding that PDP leadership had desired this time him to be kept aside even in normal discussions. Sources said barring a couple of leaders, most of the PDP leaders do not like him and approach in dealing or in understanding sensitivities of PDP as Kashmir based party. Though he is seen to be silent and not issuing any statements and has chosen to distance from making any comments, his presence in the J&K's scenario need not be ruled out, sources said. BJP leadership is also learnt to inclined to keep Madhav off from scene in the event of government formation in the state, sources said RSS lobby is not ready for this move nor would it succumb to pressure from any quarter either from the BJP or PDP in trimming his role, his background being an RSS ideologue before taking over the responsibilities in the party. |
