JAMMU, Jan 30: Deciding a 13-year-old case of molestation, Bishnah Munsiff Archana charka today awarded one year imprisonment to two accused who were also fined Rs 2,000 each to Kulbir Kumar and Sonu.
According to the police case, the victim's father lodged a written complaint with Bishnah police station on September 4, 2003, alleging therein that his daughter used to go for tuition to Dhinday Khurd where Kulbir used to tease her every day. On the day of the incident, Kulbir intercepted his daughter and passed obscene and vulgar remarks on her.
He alleged that when his son objected to his conduct and tried to stop him from doing so, he along with his friends entered their house and beat him up. Taking cognizance of the complaint, police registered a case and, after the completion of investigation, presented challan in the court against Kulbir and his friend Sonu.
The munsiff, after hearing the two sides, observed that prosecution had proved its case and awarded one year imprisonment to both the accused who were also fined Rs 2,000 each. --(JNF) |
