Jammu, Jan 30: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee Jagti and Soan Kashmir Front today held under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita in which the committee hailed Governor decision to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits in letter and spirit. While addressing the participants Pandita has hailed and welcome the initiative taken up by his Excellency the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir for passing directions to the authorities concerned in Jammu and Kashmir Government for ensuring implementation of Prime Minister's employment package in its letters and spirit as well as creating more posts for the educated youth of this community and construction of quarters in Kashmir valley for accommodating the migrant employees smoothly in valley. The participants of the meeting have appealed to Governor NN Vohra for ensuring permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit migrant community in Sattalite Township in Kashmir valley near Srinagar city for their dignified and peaceful living. A demand has been put forward for ensuring grant of one time compensation to the Kashmiri Pandit migrant families for the losses suffered by them during past 27 years of migration due to damages to their properties in Kashmir valley. Prominent among other who were presented include Rajinder Dhar, Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, Hari Krishan Pandit, Vinod Bhat, Shuban Ji Raina, S.L. Kar, Rattan Lal Bhat, R.L. Manhori, Kashi Nath Bhat. |
