JAMMU, May 12: Hectic lobbying is on in the zonal police circles here with some Inspectors vying for the 'coveted' posts of SHOs in Gandhi Nagar and Kathua police stations. Present incumbents of the two police stations are KPS officers and their probation period has ended. They are to be replaced by Inspectors now. Senior police officers, including the one under whom the two police stations fall, are involved in a keen tussle to post their favourite Inspectors as SHOs there, according to police sources. The probationary KPS officers were posted at the two police stations two months back. While seniors wanted their favourites to be posted as SHOs of the two police stations, some Inspectors were making every possible effort to impress them, hoping that they could also get a chance. "There are some Inspectors who are approaching senior officers at the police headquarters for their postings, but the final decision in this regard is to be taken by the one under whom the two police stations fall," sources said. |
