| Poonch road in bad shape, people demand inquiry | | |
Poonch, May 12: Alleging Public Works Department (PWD) for failing to take upon its duties, the local said that the roads in Poonch city and its outskirts are in bad shape and demanded an inquiry in this regard besides action against officials who failed to perform their duties.
According to locals the Public Work Department (PWD) Poonch, has failed to maintain the roads in Poonch which are in worst condition giving a horrifying ride to the commuters. Citing examples, some locals said that the road linking to Parade Ground is potholed and the ditches are also seen in front of Post Office but the department is least bothered to maintain the same.
Meanwhile some reports added that the black topping of roads all across the district Poonch is in bad shape. Locals namely Mohd Asgar, Ghulam Abaas, Mohd Saleem and other expressing their concerns over this issue have demanded action against department after proper investigations in this regard. |
