Jammu, May 12: Contrary to the claims of Minister of Education Naeem AKhtar to improve the quality of education especially in Govt schools of the State , the performance of Govt HS Nichla is declining year by year. Result of 10th class announced by Education Board yesterday turned out to be nightmare for the students, Parents, and other stakeholder of Village Nichla of Tehsil Ghagwal District. Out of about 37 Students who appeared in 10th class Examination only 2 students managed to pass. A demonstration of people including large number of women went to school on Thursday and offered sweets and bouquets to school administration protesting against poor result. A prominent person said that in 1986 the school was upgraded by then MLA Late Sh. Ram Dass Dogra when the people of area celebrated the up gradation like a gala event. Since then, this school has produced intelligent and civilized citizens including officers, teachers and army men. But now, he is so much pained by this poor result. "this is first time we are seeing the decline of popularity of this school. In 1986 the people were distributing the sweets in the happiness of up gradation and now we are offering sweets in protest" he said expressing anguish. Naib Sarpanch Ratwana Sat Paul, Darshan Kumar, Chaman Lal, Pushpa Devi,Janak raj, Sankar Singh Sonu, Rachhpaul Singh Bittu, Chuni Lal, Anupam Sharma, Jagdish Raj, Murari Lal condemned the poor result. |
