Jammu, Nov 8: After withdrawal of nomination papers, battle lines are now clearly drawn in four constituencies of Rajouri district which has, so far, highest number of rebels from almost all parties.
Despite persuasions from their respective party leadership, Chowdhary Talib Hussain of National Conference, Qamar Hussain of Congress and Mohammad Sharief Tariq of the Peoples Democratic Party are intact in the fray in Rajouri district as they have refused to pull out in any case. In neighbouring Darhal constituency, the Congress has two rebels –Mohammad Iqbal Malik and Masud Ahmed.
Congress is reported to have made last minute efforts to change candidate in Kalakote constituency but it could not materialize. Sources said that the Congress leaders, Saif-ud-Din Soz and Ghulam Nabi Azad had summoned the official nominee Abdul Ghani Kohli and rebel candidate Ashok Sharma but both refused to pull out of contest. Jammu, Nov 8: Not ready to take any chance in getting the fast warming up Indo-US relations on a jittery issues, the Government of India has tasked a delegation with assignment of briefing US President-election Barack Obama aides on Kashmir issue and Indo-Pak relations.
Quoting official sources, agencies reported that an all-party Indian delegation, which was earlier meant to participate only in the meetings of a UN Committee in New York, has also been assigned the task of apprising US President-elect Barack Obama's key aides about the Kashmir dispute and confidence building measures (CBMs) between India and Pakistan.

Jammu, Nov 7: Averting a possible tragedy in the poll-bound frontier district of Poonch, security forces killed three militants who were trying to infiltrate through the Line of Control even as security has been upped in entire region.
Reports reaching here said, three militants were killed when security forces today foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Sabjian area of Poonch district. Troops noticed a group of militants sneaking into Indian side via CRP Dhok area of Sabjian sub-sector in Poonch district in wee hours, they said.

Mumbai, Nov 8: Chandrayaan-1 entered the lunar orbit successfully. The spacecraft will last around 800 seconds in 7,500km x 500km elliptical orbit around the moon.
"The lunar orbit insertion (LOI) will start around 5 p.m. and last around 800 seconds," ISRO spokesperson S Satish told before it's launch.
The spacecraft has been launched into the 7,500 km x 500 km elliptical orbit around the moon.
