SRINAGAR, Aug 20: Violence marred festivity of Eid-ul-Fitr as crowds of separatist activists today clashed with Police and set a bullet-proof Rakhshak on fire after the congregational prayers at Eidgah, also damaging 20 private vehicles. Even as no arrests had been made until this evening, Police are said to be planning a major crackdown after having obtained a video clip and got over a dozen of the hooligans identified.
Barred from speaking to media, most of the Police officials refused to make comment or share details and the Government did not issue any statement on today's violence at Eidgah till late this evening. JAMMU, Aug 20: Heavy firing exchanges erupted along the International border after Pakistan again violated the ceasefire by targeting Indian posts to push in a group of militants in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district, where one intruder was killed.
This is the fourteenth time that Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the international border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in the last fortnight.

JAMMU, Aug 20: Amid tension on border due to repeated ceasefire violation by Pakistan, Army today exchanged greetings and sweets with their Pakistani counterparts along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Pakistani army officials were led by Major Umer Gul of 11 Baloch Regiment and Major Yaseen, while the Indian side was led by Major S Manhas at the flag meeting held at Chakan-Da- Bagh crossing point, officials said.
Indian and Pakistani sides exchanged sweets and greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr in the meeting, which was held in a cordial atmosphere, they said.

JAMMU, Aug 20: A trust based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is being used as a front to channel terror funds into Jammu and Kashmir. The money is being pumped into the state for militants (foreign and local) and also for the families of the militants killed by security forces in encounters.
"We are aware about the activities of PoK-based Jammu and Kashmir Affectees Relief Fund Trust (JKARFT) and have also zeroed in on some of the suspects working for it on this side of the border," official sources said.
