Beyond Omar's Rasool obsession
8/7/2013 11:29:09 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 7: Omar's repeated and uncalled for tweets over selection of Parvez Rasool, a cricketer from J&K in India A, an IPL team and finally in the national squad that toured Zimbabwe recently where he was not fielded in the five ODIs that India played, has to quite an extent exposed Omar's regional bias as he has repeatedly referred to Rasool as a kashmiri cricketer rather than a Cricketer from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Disturbingly for the people of Jammu, while Omar was going gaga over Rasool on twitter, he had to be reminded of another cricketer from state who belonged to Jammu and was part of the national under 19 squad presently touring Sri Lanka. The Chief Minister claims that J&K has made a great development in the sector of Information Technology and E Governance but when one practically goes through the official district websites of J&K Govt it portrays as if we are living in a stone age. Unproductive, dreggy meetings marring the functioning of the agriculture department
8/8/2013 2:04:19 PM
Mustansir Jammu, Aug7; For some top bureaucrats holding the posts of commissioner secretaries, convening dreggy and non-productive review meetings and distracting the officers from their assigned jobs is the only business-they are familiar with. Though bureaucracy in Jammu and Kashmir has always been iniquitous and detrimental to the interests of the people of the state, however, some of them have earned notoriety in keeping the filed officers hostage for hours together on daily basis in unproductive meetings and even undertaking tours to the length and breadth of the state. “They are keeping the entire administration virtually hostage for hours in unproductive meetin...
