ET Plus Report Jammu, Mar 11: Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Central Transmission (Government of India Enterprise) is going to provide consultancy services to Jammu Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) in technical sectors including 'loop in and loop out' of one circuit of 400kV D/C Kishenpur-Wagoora Transmission Line. According to a press statement issued today, the POWERGRID will offer its technical expertise for 'loop in and loop out' of one circuit of 400kV D/C Kishenpur-Wagoora Transmission Line at Pot Head Yard of Baglihar-II Hydro-electric project, planned to generate 450 MW, for evacuation of Power in J&K. It added that an agreement in this connection, K R Suri, General Manager (O&M) on behalf of POWERGRID and R N Bhat, Chief Engineer(Civil), Baglihar HEP on behalf of JKSPDC signed the agreement in presence of senior executives from both organizations. As per this agreement the scope of work of POWERGRID shall include Design, Engineering, Procurement, Erection, Project Management, Testing and Commissioning etc, it said, further adding, "the consultancy fee being charged by POWERGRID for this project shall be 11 percent of the total cost which as per the present estimate works out to Rs118.217 Lakhs. Further in addition to above, additional consultancy Fee of Rs 27.87 lakh shall be payable on account of tower design to POWERGRID. Pertinent to mention the POWERGRID is already doing the work of restoration of 132 kV transmission lines in Poonch area damaged in January 2013 due to heavy snowfall and high velocity winds. |
