| Villagers stage protest against Ration dealer | | | ET Plus Report
Kathua Mar 11 : The residents of Hatli Panchayat urged the administration to issue the ration to the consumers through a committee in Panchayat or through a Govt. servant with focused dates so that the general public may not suffer any more.
Sarpanch Hatli Sh.Ramesh Chander Gupta led a massive deputation which was joined by various villagers and apprised the problems which are being faced by them regarding the bungling in ration at ration depot since long to the CAPD Assistant Director Samba-Kathua range.
They alleged that the depot incharge/ration dealer has created huge problems for consumers by adopting corrupt and delinquent practices to harass the common consumers.
They said that the ration depot has no proper and fixed time to open, while the most of the people have to come from far of villages. Sarpanch said that the dealer has no electronic weighing machines and uses the traditional weighing scales, even no rate list of food grain for BPL, APL, AAY beneficiaries are pasted outside the depot andb the telephone numbers of TSO /AD are also not depicted which is also causing unnecessary harassment to the consumers. The intense indiscipline and undemocratic tendencies must be checked and the dealer should be booked for corrupt practice and for causing severe hardships to the common consumers.
