Kathua, Mar 11: Commissioner Secretary of Industry and Commerce department Shant Manu, Director Industries Gulzar Qurashi and Managing Director Sicop visited Kathua and conducted a meeting with Anti Pollution Movement members.
Speaking in the meeting, president of Anti Pollution Movement Mohinder Singh said that most of the industries were not following the proper norms of pollution due to which people were being forced face the fatal and ill effects of pollution on their health. "In this connection the PCB and state government was never seemed serious. A dusty polluted air cover has been covered the Kathua since long and people's health is worst sufferer" he said, and demanded closure of all such industries, found violating the norms. The officials seemed handicapped and voiceless over the pollution problems, because while speaking in the meeting they could not take satisfactory check and step to assess the pollution problems and simply assured the people to do something better at their best to control the pollution.
