Javaid Naikoo Srinagar, Mar 19 : Three times world Arm wrestling championship qualifier and state's first gold medallist waits for state award for years. Padma Shree awards nomine Adil Shaban, 25 hails from Bhagat Barzulla who brought laurels to the state for dozens of times in his career is disappointed with the state for its negligence towards this sport. "Despite being the number one players in north India, I was neglected by the state in general and sports authorities in particular," said Shaban. Adil being the first international physical fitness, training, body building and nutritionist expert with recognition of international diploma under his belt, honoured internationally in sports science-has been neglected in his home state and was not even honoured. According to Adil , from travelling to participating in the events and even traveling for receiving awards outside state I have to spend money from my own pocket. Honored by former Mr Universe and president, IBBF, Prem Chand Degra, Mr World and other IBBF members, Shaban struggles to receive state awards announced by state government some years back. Shaban appealed to the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to look into the matter personally, so that his talent and dozens of achievements get recognition.
