| "Suspension' a political conspiracy to subdue Jammu's voice: Jugal | | | Jammu: Asserting that BJP will not allow State Legislative Assembly to become a battle field for anti-national and pro-separatist issues, the Party State President Jugal Kishore Sharma (MLA) said it was nothing but a political conspiracy to pin down the Jammu's voice. Turning down the charges leveled by the treasury benches and even from the Chief Minister who condemned the incident suspended BJP leader Jugal Kishore outrightly rejected the tall claims of the NC and Congress leadership that he had misbehaved with a woman Minister. He said he had not done anything which tantamount to misbehavior with Minister in the House today. Sharma reiterated that it is unfortunate that most of the time in the current session of State Legislative Assembly has been spent on the issue of Afzal Guru and the coalition Government has allowed members to waste time without realizing that there are more important pressing issues facing the people of the three regions of the State. Referring about today's development in the House, BJP leader said that he had raised a question about the fly overs in Jammu to decongest traffic in winter capital but we're protesting when the concerned Minister left us perplexed saying that there was no 'such proposal' as they (ruling regime) time and again was harping tall claims of that there were proposals of fly over in Jammu also. He said that party MLAs wanted to raise the issues pertaining to discrimination with Jammu province on developmental front. He questioned where are the agencies which surveyed the fly over in jammu? Where are DPR? What about high claimed Survey Reports of fly overs in Jammu?' As there was no satisfactory reply coming from the treasury bench, the party was forced to protest in the House as the Speaker allowed one of the MLAs to continue raising the issue of Afzal Guru, agitated Sharma said further adding, " they (Govt) have time to discuss Afzal Guru but not the people oriented issues particularly related to Jammu region. The BJP President categorically said that he had not used any derogatory words against NC Woman Minister during the protest. "Rather she used some words which were unparliamentarily words like aap logon ne Er Rashid ko issue raise nahi karne diya (you (BJP) have not allowed Er Rashid to raise his issue) aap d…. ho Jaye (you just get out), ", he said and added that many NC and Congress Ministers and MLAs forced me out of the House. "The party holds women in high esteem, he underlined and said," despite her provocations we continued to protest to speaker not to challenge her.' Questioning the silence from Congress leaders from Jammu, BJP president alleged why they are silent over the issue of arterial way in Valley from Jahangir Chowk to other location worth Rs 351 Crore and the Jammu fly over at Bikram Chowk just for Rs 5 Crores as its engineering dimension has have been altered to cut down the expenses. He also questioned if a member who was raising voice for a Parliament attack convict was not marshaled out but we (BJP) who raised the voice for the people were marshaled out that too by the elected representatives of NC and Congress jointly. "BJP cannot afford to allow anti-national and pro-secessionists to hijack precious time of the House, he said and added we are people’s representatives and will continue to raise voice for the people of Jammu region against apparent discrimination. He said that ruling regime is having a hand in glove to rake-up the sentiments of the people for their vote bank politics and they sought a golden opportunity to restrain the voice of Jammuites through suspensions. He said, "Earlier, they (Govt) suspended JKNPP MLA Balwant Mankotia who was raising issue over discrimination with Jammu and today they suspended me.' |
