Arun Trisal Kathua, Mar 19: The dilapidated condition of four kilometers road stretch which is full of potholes, dugged up gravel, dust, with hardly any remain of metallic road, from Hatli Morh to Maroli village speaks the volume of callousness on part of district administration, which has failed to look after the road, despite reservations shown by people time and again. Lambasting the administration, Chairman of Industrial Association Kathua, Ajit Bawa rued that the four kilometers road stretch was a vital road link, connection hundreds of industries, but astonishingly, the administration has always turned a deaf ear towards the demand of industrialists, “Several times we approached DC kathua, but no heed has been paid” he regretted and urged upon state government to divert the heavy vehicles to some other route. An industrial Vinay Mahajan said that the road was full of potholes, besides dust has covered the entire track. “Whenever a vehicle passes from the road, the whole route engulfed in dust clouds, increasing threats of health ailments” he said, adding that many times the potholes proved fatal for the two wheelers, as same caused accidents. General Secretary of Industrial Assocaition, Sandeep Mittal, Sanjay Sharma, Sarpanch Mehtapur Dilawar Singh have appealed district administration to repair the road without any further delay.
