Jammu, Mar 19: In keeping with the changing trends in education, Model Academy-the prestigious school of MIER organized a three-day orientation programme for school teachers. About 50 teachers from both the branches of the school participated in the programme. Mr. KunalAnandDirector, Education Express was the resource person on this occasion. In her welcome address, Principal Mrs. Rupa Gupta extended a warm welcome to the resource person and the participants and explained the various aspects of the programme. She said the aim of the orientation programme was to develop competent teachers with encouraging personalities, excellent interpersonal, professional and personal skills. Mr.KunalAnand during the three-day session spoke on Interpers-onal and communication skills, personality development, and grooming and social etiquettes. He also held an Interactive session with the teachers on ‘How to be effective teachers’. Sessions also included interesting games, activities &trivia’s. Mr.Anand, elucidated that the best teachers are those who cherish their students and hold them in unconditional positive regard. He advised the teachers to be professional and provide a conducive learning environment to the students. Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, congratulated the principal and her team on conducting a successful programme for the faculty. He said such programmes should be conducted on a regular basis to help teachers avoid problems in the future and help builds confidence in them. Ms. Jasleen, coordinator Primary wing, delivered Vote of Thanks.
